Ashtanga Yoga is an authentic and in-depth tradition. It emphasizes the “Vinyasa”, a Sanskrit word meaning “breath linking movement”. One Asana (posture) is therefore linked to another in a correct order like a flow. This practice, done correctly under the guidance of qualified teacher, not only purifies and strengthens the body but also leads to clear and calm mind.
The Mysore Class---named after the city in South India where Sri K. Pattabhi Jois currently teaches---is unique compared to other Yoga Asana classes. Students are taught to do the Asanas on an one-on-one basis, hence they can practice at their own paces, with guidance and assistance from a teacher when necessary. This peaceful environment allows students to easily tune into their breath---the vehicle by which the body and mind are observed and eventually transcended.
Sukko is honored to offer traditional Ashtanga Yoga in the same method as taught by the Guru, Sri K. Pattabhi jois (www.ashtanga.com, www.ayri.org).

I use to be an outstanding sportsman, a jiu-jitsu practicioner and a runner. In 2007, I approachedto yoga looking after a major flexibility. The 6 months daily practice allows me to discover my
real passion, the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. So I decided to make a journey in search of great teachers, and the knowledge behind the practice.
The voyage begins in New Zealand, where I stayed for about a year practising and living with John
Scott, who undoubtedly was my great first inspiration. After this, I moved to Australia, Byron Bay, where I practised in Dena's place. Then I flew to practice one month with Paul Dallaghan in Kho Samui, Thailand. From there, I moved to Goa, India, to practice next to Rolf Naujokat for 3 months. Upon my arrival in Santiago in 2009, I began to teach the method in my own little studio, morning and afternoon lessons, and in Yogashala, a well know yoga center in Santiago. During the summer of 2010, I traveled to Brazil to practice with Matthew Vollmer, in Trancoso and Rio de Janeiro, for 2
months. Back in Chile, I continued teaching the method to my students.
In september 2010, I returned to India for 6 months, staying 4 months in Mysore in the Shri K Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute, with R. Sharat Jois, the maximum authority of Ashtanga Yoga nowadays, and then I spend a couple of months practicing with Rolf and Marcy Naujokat in Goa.
