The Thai Fruit Season
July 20th, 2009 Posted in General InfoDuring the transition from the hot to the rainy seasons, Thailand enjoys a bountiful harvest of fruit. This includes some of the more famous Thai fruits including the Turian, the Mang Koot (Mangosteen) and Rambutan. During this time you can purchase these fruits for prices not reaching 20 Thai baht per kilo, which considered very cheap indeed.
At Sukko Spa Resort we grow many fruits such as Turian and Rambutan close to the villas. If you have the time to drop by during this period, you can walk around and enjoy the natural ambiance and smells, and pick your own fruit and eat them for free. But when eating the Turian, must must use careful skin to peel the husk and enjoy the unique, delicious taste which earned the nickname the King of Fruit.
